The intensive will:
• Give you a foundation in graphic design software.
• Image editing skills.
• To use design software for print and web for your business or portfolio.
• To understand technical jargon like knowing your JPEGs to your tiffs!

The Sessions

The three sessions have been designed that you can attend one of the session or all three. It is highly advisable to take all three sessions as most graphic work demands a mixture of these softwares to create.

Session 1 Intro to Graphics & Photoshop, Saturday 27th June (10am-6pm)

Daniel will first go through the important basics in graphics. The rest of the session will be focused on Adobe Photoshop, an image editing software. You will get to grips with program tools, how to edit images and create ready artworks for print and web.

Session 2 Illustrator, Sunday 28th June (10-6pm)

Daniel will take your through Adobe Illustrator, a design and graphic editing software tool. You will learn program tools, editing and designing digital graphics with practical exercises.

Session 3 InDesign & Create your own work, Saturday 4th July (10-6pm)

InDesign is a design software for print and desktop publishing. Learn how to lay out for print, go through typography, grid systems (composition), and structure for what you are publishing. The second part of the session you will use all the skills learnt in session 1, 2 and 3 to produce a poster with guidance from Daniel to take away with you.

The Workshops are a mix of teaching, practical exercises and guidance. Daniel will have material and examples to work with in the session but you are also welcome to bring preexisting projects or ideas to use as samples whilst learning the programs.
