London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square launches Pop-Up Picnic Bar

Enjoy a tasty break at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square's quintessentially British Pop-up Picnic Bar at Summer in the Square from 6 - 26 July 2015. Guests can sit back and relax on picnic blankets and deck chairs while soaking up the summer sun.

Food and drink will be served from a converted old-school Citroen Camper Van, serving comfort summer snacks from Tiptree including lemon drizzle cake, muffins filled with Tiptree jam, chocolate brownies, all butter flap jacks and punnets of strawberries. Head Barman, Chris Pawar, has paired the typically British dishes with red (Vina Pomal Crianza) and white wine (Vina Pomal Blanco), Cava sparkling wine (Anne de Codorinu) and a glass of obligatory Pimms. For those who wish to enjoy a soft drink they can choose from apple and Strawberry / blackberry or raspberry juice.

Guests can also pre-order an afternoon tea to indulge in H Forman & Son smoked salmon and lemon crème fraiche, beetroot loaf finger sandwiches, fruit scones with Tiptree jam and clotted cream and a selection of cakes.

Snacks are priced from £2.00 with a two person sharing pre-order fruit juice afternoon tea costing £30 and £50 Champagne. Non-alcoholic beverages are available from £3.00 and alcoholic from £6.00. No reservations are required.
