Singer, accordionist and storyteller, Séamus Begley comes from the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking area) of Dingle, in Co. Kerry where he grew up speaking Irish and English fluently.

THE BOLD KERRYMAN is the long awaited new album release from Seamus . The album features twelve stunning tracks and guests on the CD include Meabh Begley on backing vocals, Tim Edey on guitars, piano and accordion, Damien Dempsey (who supplies vocals on the track The Banks of the Sweet Primroses) and John Reynolds on percussion and programming. John also handled production and engineering duties and the album was recorded at his New Air Studios in London. Tracks on the album include traditional songs such as Domhnaill O Conaill, Taimse Im Chodladh, Will You Go To Flanders and Annie Laurie and also a reading of the song Today, written by John Denver
