How Does It Feel To Be Loved? has been staging indie pop and northern soul club nights at the Canterbury Arms in Brixton since 2003. It's become Brixton's longest running indie night, and the back room at the Canterbury Arms has witnessed some legendary nights, with guest DJs such as Kevin Rowland of Dexys Midnight Runners, David Gedge of The Wedding Present, The Wave Pictures, Allo Darlin', and many, many more.
On September 5th, the Canterbury Arms shuts for good, and the building will be demolished to make way for luxury flats. This Friday - Friday August 7th - How Does It Feel To Be Loved? throws its final party at the Canterbury Arms, and waves a tearful goodbye after 12 years of amazing nights.
As always, the playlist will be a mixture of indie pop and northern soul - The Smiths to The Supremes, Belle & Sebastian to the Beach Boys, Dexys Midnight Runners to Dusty Springfield. Come and dance for one last time in this wonderful Victorian pub.
