Dia de los Muertos is one of the great festivals in Mexico, where families & communities gather & dress up in parades to celebrate the lives of departed friends & family members, inviting the spirits back for a visit & helping their passage to the next life. A joyous time, often lasting 3 days, skulls & skeletons are brightly coloured & detailed, with people spending a whole year working on their outfits & figurines. We’ll be painting faces, dancing & raising glasses of Mexico’s number one tequila, El Jimador!
Throughout the evening, the host will join guests at their table to examine the chosen spirit, offering fascinating facts and amusing anecdotes about its history and production, whilst Rev JW Simpson’s experienced cocktail bartenders demonstrate how to use the spirit’s unique flavours to create beautiful, delicate and delicious concoctions. Guests will then have the opportunity to use their newly learnt skills to shake and stir their own cocktail at the pop up bar.
