Ovation invites Norwegian musician, composer and producer Bugge Wesseltoft, to Oval Space for a very special performance alongside some of his finest contemporaries on 26th October.

A truly innovative artist who pushes the boundaries of musical genres, Wesseltoft is as known for his creative collaborations with pioneers of the electronic music scene, including Laurent Garnier, Henrik Schwarz and Christian Prommer, as he is with his collaborations with jazz legends such as John Scofield, Joshua Redman, Jan Garbarek and Nils Petter Molvaer.

Inspired by a desire to create a community of music and international artists, the Bugge & Friends project is about mixing jazz and electronic music together in a deep mutual respect and with a fascination for each others worlds.

Consisting of Wesseltoft's long time friends and heroes, Bugge & Friends is a six-piece jazz group featuring a multi-national, all star line-up. Led by piano master, label boss and producer Bugge Wesseltoft himself, the troupe of musicians includes French trumpeter Erik Truffaz, a mainstay on legendary jazz record label Blue Note, New York's celebrated Nublu club founder and Turkish saxophonist Ilhan Ersahin, US DJ/producer legend Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell and a three-piece rhythm section. Expect warm sounding rhythm, electronic percussion and compositions infused with a true international sound from the four corners of the world.

There will be be both seating and standing tickets available on the night.
