Like the best ideas, Anarchy is pretty simple when you get down to it - human beings are at their very best when they are living free of authority and deciding things among themselves rather than being bossed about. That's what Anarchy means - without governments and hierarchies, for total freedom and equality.

Anarchism provides the ideals, strategies and tactics to end capitalist barbarism and authoritarian states. It is about building community and solidarity, and celebrating and empowering the
struggle to build a free world for all.

The London Anarchist Bookfair showcases British and International Anarchist groups, projects, campaigns, distros, publishers, artists and authors from across the Anarchist movements. Over 100 stalls and 60 meetings and film screenings make it the ideal introduction to anarchist theory and practice for newcomers, and a vital resource and networking space for Anarchists.

Anarchists from around the world including Greece, Kurdistan, Spain, Czech Republic, USA and the Caribbean will be talking about the struggles in their countries, and how we can work together to strengthen the global Anarchist resistance. British grassroots organisations leading the fightback against capitalism and austerity will talk about their successes and future plans.

At the Anarchist Bookfair people can find out about and join campaigns such as Boycott Workfare, Radical Housing Network, Earth First, Campaign Against the Arms Trade, Disabled People Against Cuts, Feminist Fightback and Corporate Watch.

Attracting thousands to Anarchism every year, the London Anarchist Bookfair acts as a giant shop window onto the much misunderstood principles and aims of Anarchism, and offers something for everyone. With no leaders, lying politicians, cameras nor celebrities, it's a relaxed space that encourages honesty, co-operation, debate, resistance and mutual aid. All are welcome and it's free to enter!

The London Anarchist Bookfair is on 24 October 2015 from 10am to 7pm at Central St Martins, 1 Granary Square, Kings Cross, London N1C 4AA.

We have a crèche and kids space.
