125LIVE is an annual event which invites photographers from around the world to enter imagery for inclusion in a unique exhibition, awards and book curated by the team behind the seminal 125 Magazine and key industry figures.

Visitors can immerse themselves in a carefully constructed snapshot of contemporary photography selected for its visual innovation and technical expertise with the added benefit of everything shown being available to buy through 125, as limited edition art prints. Prices are set by the individual artists and range from £100 to £5000 making this an intrigu- ing show for buyers and collectors.

GUEST SPEAKERS & WORKSHOPS
Additionally, the 125LIVE exhibition space will be open late on the 13th, 14th & 15th October to host a range of free guest lectures from creative leaders and innovators. These are informal events with complimentary refreshments and three guest speakers each night. An exciting line-up will be confirmed soon with new names added each week to include top photogra- phers, publishers, curators, designers, writers, camera brands, agents, art buyers and more.

The 125 team have devised a selection of practical workshops and master-classes to offer an opportunity to develop your photography skills. Whether you’re a professional looking for a new skill or an amateur just starting out, there is a valuable roster of events on offer including the ever popular 125 Photo Safari for absolute beginners.

125LIVE AWARDS
New for 2015 are three awards;

The Olympus Future Award will be given to a promising young talent (aged 26 or under) for demonstrating outstanding potential, either technically or artistically.

The Olympus Vision Award honours an established artist whom the judges consider to be pushing the boundaries of the medium through innovation, technical expertise or originality.

A 125LIVE Public Vote will be awarded by visitors to the exhibition during the run of the show.

There are a range of truly spectacular photographic prizes including cameras, exhibition space, studio time and more.

ABOUT 125
125 Magazine was created in 2003 by a collective of photographers and art directors to act as a showcase for new work and ideas by both established and emerging photographers around the world. By 2007 the team were printing 45’000 copies and are considered pio- neers of the ‘bookazine’ revolution and introduced the first print sales service making every image in the magazine available as affordable, limited edition art prints.

Now in their second decade and still fiercely independent, founders Perry Curties & Rob Crane have redesigned the business to reflect the changing face of publishing by turning the magazine into a highly collectible annual book and exhibition produced with the same devotion to new ideas and nurturing talent. They are also about to launch a line of stand- alone photography monographs, and education program.
