Ensemble singing: from trepidation to raising the roof all in one day!

Led by professional musical director Zara Nunn, this one day intensive singing course is for people of any level of ability or experience... and comes with a little special added extra.

The bit that will help you decide if this is the course for you:
Have you secretly always wanted to try singing in a big group? Have you always been too afraid to try? Do you lack confidence? Do you worry that you can't read music? Does the thought of what might come out of your mouth when you open it to sing keep you awake at night? Does the thought of singing in four-part harmony bring you out in hives? Or do you just fancy blowing the cobwebs away and having a good old sing-song?

Whether you're a complete beginner, a rusty re-capper or even a resting professional, you're very, very welcome - the bigger the numbers, the louder the noise!

The bit about the day itself:

The first bit: A little meet and greet and then straight into a bunch of fun warm up stuff to shake off the nerves and get some good noise happening in the room.

The middle bit: We'll learn some absolutely cracking songs! The specially selected repertoire will span several genres and include one or two of the standards, some songs from the shows, songs from the movies and maybe a few slightly more obscure toe-tappers that you might not be so familiar with, and as we go we'll very quickly dispel some of the fear-inducing myths surrounding the difficulty of harmony, part-singing and counterpoint, and have a lively old time doing it!

The BEST bit: For the final hour of the day we will recap everything we've learned accompanied by our very own house band made up of professional musicians who have been especially invited for the occasion.
