As we celebrate the Year of Mexico in the UK in 2015, experience a dazzling programme of music that shows Mexican classical music is about so much more than just folklore and colour. Rather, it is an eclectic and sophisticated repertoire, spanning a broad spectrum of musical possibilities and embodying the spirit of Mexico in all its richness and diversity. Join the LPO and conductor Jaime Martín for an uplifting and illuminating evening of music which includes the slithering sounds of Revueltas’s Sensemayá, Ibarra’s ear-teasing Sinfonía No. 2 and Márquez’s toe-tapping Danzón No. 2 alongside a selection of popular songs from Mexico.

This concert is part of The Year of Mexico in the United Kingdom 2015.
