Purple presents… Time Tripping

Strap yourself in for a time travelling party like no other! We’re taking a trip through the dance-floors of the past, present and future…

At the controls are Purple DJs and InSpiral regulars EKIM, AL, DAN DE’LION, AUTOM, RAKU, and BAXTER alongside VJ KARA DARCH with her flux-capacitor-powered visuals and live animation. Fresh from appearances at nights across London such as Purple, Whirl-Y-Gig, Wonderland and Elixir of Life – tonight they will be your time-travelling guides as we get lost in the cosmos of bass-heavy dance.

Our voyage will shuffle through smokey 1930s jazz clubs, groove into the soul of the swinging Sixties, out through the Eighties’ explosion of house and disco, and into the hip hop beats of the 1990s. We’ll get lost in jungle and garage at the turn of the century, before speeding through to 2015 and beyond with the fresh sounds of techno, d’n’b, psytrance and whatever other strange pounding sounds the future might hold…
