"Steve Fishwick... one of our best trumpet exponents." Jazz Journal

"Osian's... style and sound still recalls the earlier, possibly most feelingful period of Sonny Rollins." Jazz Journal

Stylistically firmly rooted in the hard-bop combos of the late 50s and early 50s, since their foundation in 2002 they've toured extensively throughout Britain, performing in some of the country's most renowned jazz clubs (Ronnie Scott's, 606 etc), as well as appearing in many international festivals, most recently at the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island, USA. Osian and Steve are both known internationally as virtuosos in their own right. The quintet's repertoire is largely original but they also play their own arrangements of standards, and throughout the programme, the emphasis is on swing and improvisation. Although now based in Prague, Osian is flying over to London especially to perform tonight.

BopFest! is a new jazz festival running from November 17th to 22nd 2015 during the EFG London Jazz Festival, featuring a week of the best of British bebop and straight ahead jazz, hosted in the beautiful Victorian wood-panelled music room at The Elgin in Ladbroke Grove, central London. The venue features a Yamaha grand piano and sound system, with cabaret style seating in front of the stage, with a capacity for 80 people. Food - The Elgin has an excellent kitchen - and drinks are available during the music.
