Carols by candlelight in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey

On Wednesday the 2nd December at 6pm, amputee charity Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope is hosting a Carol Service in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey. It will be a wonderful occasion to get into the spirit of Christmas, to hear beautiful carols and to come together for a good cause.

The evening will feature a selection of Christmas Carols performed by the choir of St Margaret’s and readings by special guests including Joanna Lumley, Sir Nicholas Soames MP, Alastair Stewart OBE and a Senior Government Minister. The Carol Service will be conducted by the Venerable Andrew Tremlett, Sub-Dean and Rector of St Margaret’s.

Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope supports child amputees in less developed countries and provides them with prosthetic limbs, life-saving surgery and access to education. The Carol Service will be an opportunity to pay attention to the millions of people with amputations in the world and the importance to work together to make sure they get the chance to walk, to go to school and to live active and prosperous lives.

Tickets are free but donations are warmly welcome. All money raised will go directly towards Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope’s crucial work to support child amputees in Sierra Leone, Liberia and India. Each donation will make a real difference for the children they support – for as little as £70 a child can get a prosthetic leg and the chance to walk again.

Therefore, any money raised during this Carol Service will make a huge difference to the children we help.”
