St Katharine Docks, Central London’s only marina, will host a unique, waterside Christmas celebration on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th December. The picturesque docks and adjacent riverfront, in the shadow of Tower Bridge, will be awash with festive food, gifts, music and entertainment.
The culinary Christmas treats will, once again, by provided by Shepherds Good Food Market, the company behind the Dock’s popular weekly Friday market. Visitors can expect award-winning rum from Pirate’s Grog, as well as an eclectic mix of stalls selling hand-crafted gifts and unusual Christmas presents, including Argan oil cosmetics and Italian confectionary.

Special entertainment:
• Thursday 17th December (5 – 7pm) – The City Chamber Choir will perform a medley of everyone’s favourite Christmas carols.
• Friday 18th December (11am – 7pm) – Leaving his sleigh in Lapland this year, Santa will make his striking speed boat entrance at 5.30pm. There, he will join his reindeer friends Cracker, Tinsel and Baby Angel who will be at the Market from 1pm – 6pm. Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa, feed the reindeer and share their Christmas wish lists whilst The National Youth Jazz Orchestra will be providing entertainment between 2pm – 5pm.

Should visitors wish to warm up and revitalise, the Docks’ wonderful assortment of top restaurants and independent cafes are on hand, with Tom’s Kitchen and Dickens Inn serving warming mulled wine and spiced cider and also providing pop-up food stalls, and CAU supplying delicious churros. What better way to awaken the festive spirit than a good soaking of Christmas cheer at this historic waterside community.
