As usual we will be supporting and promoting a good cause:

In a short space of time, Stefan Brown and a few other core members have developed a campaign that has attracted over 5000 supporters and recently culminated in a petition being delivered to Downing Street during a rally where over 500 people attended. This is a new organisation, STOP OUR KIDS BEING KILLED ON OUR STREETS aims to bring communities together to protect our children and prevent future generations of young people dying at the hand of another through gun and knife crime.

The committee aim to work in partnership with community groups in inner-city areas across London and other major cities in the UK. The aim is to promote community safety, reduce knife crime and gang crime and encourage young people and parents and local organisations to be empowered to support each other and build safer communities.

The African saying ‘ it takes a village to raise a child’ is very apt and in this time of austerity, cuts in services, threatened cuts to police forces and high youth unemployment rates, this campaigns aims to keep raising awareness of the impact of knife crime and help to co-ordinate a national campaign to promote peace on our streets.

Any profits we make on this event will be donated to this campaign but most importantly for a young organisation such as this, we will be sharing information throughout the next few months while we promote our event about the campaign, their work and the impact of knife crime on our communities.
