Forget what you know about forgiving. Forget what you know about reconciliation.

At the young age of 12, Ulysses Slaughter listened as his mother Clarice was shot to death by his father Ulysses Grant Slaughter Sr. Emerging from his bedroom on June 25, 1978, he watched as his mother bled from two gunshot wounds to her head and take some of the last breaths of her life. Stepping over his mother’s fallen body that day was the first, most important act in his amazing odyssey towards forgiveness and reconciliation with his father. Ulysses is not one who places abstract or random theory above the truest value of concrete experience. His journey has taught him intensely profound lessons that no one can comprehend simply through years of research and classroom curriculum alone.

Ulysses joined OneTaste/TurnON-Britain in October, 2013 and helped to establish the operational container for The Council of Reconciliation. A regular presenter at OneTaste/TurnON-Britain courses (including the Coaching Program, Taboo and the Intensive), Ulysses uses his powerful personal journey to challenge students and staff about infinite, “orgasmic” possibilities through radical reconciliation. Since the Council’s development, Ulysses has coordinated and co-facilitated countless community resolution conversations.

Within his many capacities, Ulysses is a thought leader and one who reconciles victim consciousness. Whether we know it or not, most of us react to life as victims. Whenever we refuse to take responsibility for ourselves, we are unconsciously choosing to react as victim. Ulysses masterfully facilitates reconciliation conversations where antagonistic parties learn how to take personal responsibility and discover who "other" is.
