The Aultones & Friends

Nick Higton was born at St. Helier Hospital Carshalton, Surrey in April 1976. Shortly after his 18th birthday Nick purchased his first guitar from Rock Bottom in Croydon and for the next two years learnt the rudimentary basics of the instrument. His first serious song writing attempts started to flow from April 1996.

In 2001 Nick appeared solo at London’s Rock Garden performing his own material and shortly following appeared on TV and Radio attempting to get a record deal. Following a long period of live inactivity Nick made a comeback in June 2015 to play at Eastbourne’s Underground Theatre.

He will be playing material from his LP “Fear without Progression” recorded in one ten hour day at Abbey Road Studio’s Studio 3 in November 2015. Nick cites The Beatles, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Weller and Buddy Holly as his biggest song writing influences.
