Cinema Paradiso | Valentines at Stanley's Film Club

Fall in love with cinema this Valentine's Day at South Norwood’s beautiful Stanley Halls. On Sunday 14 February, Stanley’s Film Club will present a special screening of Cinema Paradiso (1988, dir. Giuseppe Tornatore. Cert. 15), history’s greatest love letter to cinema. Let yourself be transported back to 1940s Italy, where a little boy discovers the magic of the movies and begins a lifelong friendship with the village projectionist.

Snuggle up with your loved one in the main theatre of our elegant Grade II listed venue, the perfect setting for this enchanting story of friendship, first love and nostalgia. Or simply indulge in a date night with cinema itself.

Doors will open at 5pm for Italian-style food, vintage music, fresh popcorn and other romantic treats to be announced soon.
