Knob Creek presents Mardi Gras with Ben Somers Brass Hysteria

What we celebrate as Shrove Tuesday is known elsewhere as Mardi Gras, and New Orleans is famous for its carnival celebrations around this feast day. To reflect the joyous abandon of that fine city we have prepared a night of special New Orleans cocktails, 'Fat Tuesday' pancakes and excellent brass band music.

Ben Somers' band offers a fresh approach to the street brass band genre featuring infectious original music in the New Orleans style. Ben Somers composes, sings, and is superbly fluent all the saxophones and plays double bass. He is joined by Neil Waters on trumpet, Mark Bassey on trombone, Trevor Mires on sousaphone and Pat Levett on drums.
