Sonic cinema is thrilled to present this special live music event, composed and conducted by John Altman and performed by the LFO. Shooting Stars tells the story of a love triangle set in a British film studio, and is both a wry commentary on the superficiality of stardom and a love letter to filmmaking. John Altman’s jazz-age score draws out, with great panache, the narrative layers and irony in Asquith’s sophisticated and hugely enjoyable drama. Not to be missed!
