"War seen through women's eyes makes a different kind of war story.
It's time to listen to what they have to say."
-Interviewer, Sally Hayton-Keeva

From victim to perpetrator to peacemaker, Valiant introduces thirteen women who have fought, struggled and survived through a century of conflict. Stories from Armenia, Hungary, Japan, the United States, Cambodia, Philippines, Northern Ireland, El Salvador, Vietnam and Afghanistan. This powerful verbatim performance chronicles the role of women in war. Adapted for the stage by Lanna Joffrey from the book of interviews, Valiant Women in War and Exile interviewed by Sally Hayton-Keeva, this debut play explores the experiences of thirteen women, how war has shaped their lives and subsequently our own.

Valiant plays at JW3 as part of International Women's Day following and acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
