1975, and former members of the fan club, the Disciples of James Dean meet at their local Texas dime store on the twentieth anniversary of the actors death. The actor himself had worked on the movie Giant, shot in a small town a few miles away back in 1955 and as the girls begin to reminisce, a series of flashbacks begin to tear open old wounds.

Brilliantly filmed by Robert Altman based on his own 1982 Broadway production, Graczyk's play is a funny, searing exploration of memory, nostalgia and delusion.
