The aim of this congress is to examine the utilization of NGS, OMIC and Gene editing technology as a tool to progress plant research.

Global Engage is pleased to announce as part of their Next Generation Sequencing series, the 4th Plant Genomics Congress, which will be held on 9-10 May 2016 in London, England. The successful event which was attended by over 275 attendees last year is the sister meeting to both the US Congress and Asian Congress which take place each year in September and April respectively.

The event focuses on aspects such as molecular marker development, breeding, crop/ trait improvement, disease/stress resistance, evolution studies and pathology as well understanding tools to overcome bottlenecks and enable successful data analysis and management. Presentations concentrate on, but are not limited to plant, crop and forestry research ranging from wheat, barley, maize and rice to potato, tomato, arabdopsis, biofuels and various fruits in order to attract delegates across Europe and beyond.

Should you be either an expert already using NGS for plant analysis with a desire to extend your knowledge or a researchers keen to invest in sequencing / omic technology and looking to learn which platform/technology best suits your requirements - the conference will provide an interactive networking forum to answer your queries through a vibrant exhibition room full of technology providers showcasing their technologies and other solutions, expert led case study presentations & interactive Q&A panel discussions examining topics through six separate tracks:

Day 1 Stream 1 - NGS / Omic and Gene Editing Technologies for Plant Research
Day 1 Stream 2 - Plant Genomic Case Studies (Cereals)
Day 1 Stream 3 - Plant and Soil Microbiome & Disease Resistance

Day 2 Stream 1 - A) Bioinformatics, Data Analysis & Management;
B) Young Investigators Flash Presentations
Day 2 Stream 2 - A) Epigenetic/DNA Methylation Case Studies
B) Genome Evolution Case Studies
Day 2 Stream 3 - A) Plant Genomics Case Studies
B) RNA Seq Case Studies
