Urban Regeneration Day promises to be exciting as well as informative, bringing together architects, contractors, planners, designers and housing associations.
There will be a number of thought provoking discussions and demonstrations showcasing how brick adds both social and economic value to regeneration areas across the UK. The event will also investigate the technical and sustainability elements of this well-loved material, as well as the aesthetic benefits to using brick as a façade material in an urban environment.

Keynote speakers from the urban regeneration arena such as Alexis Harrison of Arup will discuss their own interpretations of the material amongst a host of other architectural speakers including Alex Gordon of Jestico & Whiles and Joe Morris of Duggan Morris Architects. There will also be contractors such as Lee Marley holding talks detailing the practical challenges faced throughout regeneration projects, why brick is the material of choice for urban housing projects and using brick products to turn designs into reality on site.

A host of key industry speakers from housing associations and the planning sector will be announced shortly along with a full timetable of the day, leading you through Urban Regeneration from the conception of an idea, to design and planning, all the way to completion, further demonstrating why brick is such a key player in regenerated areas.
