New Italian techno night hosted by Calemma with special guest, Phiorio.

Multitalented artist Calemma has dedicated his lifelong research to photography, media and music. All the influences he came across through the years skilfully converge within his sound ,creating each time an unique musical experience. Giovanni has been the co-founder of United Tribes ( Italy) Between 1992 and 1994, United Tribes marked an evolutionary step in the European music scene and defined new aesthetics in visual communication. Since then Calemma has been working professionally as a visual artist, DJ and promoter of events across London, Berlin and Italy. With dj Nuno Deconto, Giovanni is currently promoting Diskonnekt events in London; Diskonnekt nights place their emphasis on quality music and a firm commitment towards delivering a vibrant dancefloor within a people-centred environment

Phiorio’s real name is Gianpiero Fiorin. He started being interested in music in the late 80's where he discovered post-punk, new wave gothic and industrial. Through being a fan of these musical genres he then developed an interest in electronic music, weird and bleepy electronica at first and then techno and house music. When he moved to London in '98 he discovered a way of clubbing that was way more exciting than his native Italy and got hooked fairly quickly to the world of disc jockeying and partying. After playing techno records in his bedroom for a while learning the skills Phiorio decided it was time to try and get some real gigs so he proceeded with getting himself over various East London warehouses waiting in line for hours and hours trying to get dj set slots at Rave parties. Soon after that he started being a regular figure at those free parties, that lead to more gigs in real clubs where he started meeting fellow techno and house enthusiasts that were sharing his same passion for club music. Around the mid 2000’s Phiorio started throwing his own parties in London, picked up music production and, together with a couple of friends he started a record label, Metroline Limited.
