Get ready for a slice of Brazilian Bass in East London with the Queen of Brazilian Hip Hop.
Originally from Curitiba, Brazil, Karoline dos Santos de Oliveira, aka Karol Conka, first stepped foot on stage, and started her rap career at age 17, while participating in her school music competition. She won the competition. Today, ten years on from her stage debut, and after years of hard work and underground grinding, the rapper, singer and songwriter is fast becoming one of the most distinctive voices of the modern Brazilian hip hop scene.
Karol gained national recognition with a nomination at the 2011 Brazilian MTV Awards as well as performing internationally with Brazil's hip hop legend, Marcelo D2 on numerous occasions.
She went on to release her debut album Batuk Freak on Mr Bongo to huge acclaim, garnering a new army of international fans.
Support comes from two DJs spinning the freshest Brazilian beats. Bringing the tropical bass and party starting vibes, direct from Sao Paulo, ElPeche. Representing the label Mais Um Discos, known for top genre defying Brazilian acts, Lewis Robinson.
