2016 will mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme in which there were Black soldiers present from Britain, the Caribbean, and Africa.

This project will include a 5-week course, museum visits, a new play and other activities to celebrate the contribution these soldiers made to the Battle of the Somme and WWI.
Join Narrative Eye for the latest event from the Battle of the Somme Project which seeks to explore the rich history surrounding the African contribution to the First and Second World Wars, and the influential impact made by many African colonial troops.

This event will provide an array of presentations and talks as an educational and inspiring event for the entire family.
