Prism is returning to Hoxton Arches Gallery for 2016. Expect to see subtle interpretations of the title ‘Fracture’ from this international exhibiting group. With wit and deftness alongside serious intent and applied inquiry the artists have once again risen to the challenge of an exacting title. The exhibition promises a variety of stylistic interpretations and will encompass wall hung pieces, 3 dimensional sculptural work and exquisitely stitched pieces, reflecting the broadness of contemporary textile practice.

Founded as a textile exhibiting group in 1999 by the late Julia Caprara, Prism members are drawn from across the world and represent all regions of the UK. In 2009 Prism entered a new independent phase, retaining a focus on showcasing high quality fine art textile practice and craftsmanship. Our aim is to exhibit work of the highest quality, highlighting the breadth of textile practice and challenging notions of the textile as decorative and domestic.
