This is quite simply a master-class. Stephen Grant is a comic genius, twice winner of MC of the Year and regular MC at The Comedy Store New Years' Eve show, arguably the biggest club gig in Europe.

This Workshop is designed for acts at all levels. This is the best advice, with direct feedback, from one of the greats of British comedy.

After the Workshop has ended Alfie Noakes will happily stick around and add some comments to the day, take Q&A on the open mic scene in general and anything else I might feel qualified to comment on. It's all very social.

Further, each student wll be offered a 5 spot at one of our open mic nights soon after the Workshop so you can apply some of what you have learned.

The EARLY BIRD cost for the Workshop is £55, AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE 6th midday. The price will then rise to £65. All enquiries and payments can be addressed by emailing [email protected]

The focus is on taking a bit and focusing in on it, breaking it down, building it back up to funnier and what some key processes are. It'll take an OK idea and make it good, and likely a good idea would be propelled to great material.

Stephen will present a lecture on the theories and processes at the beginning of the day and then after a break each act will get up and do 2- 3 minutes fr immediate feedback. The rest of the class will be the audience, and as much is learned from the comments for fellow students as in the personalised review. There are a lot of laughs throughout the day.

I am utterly convinced that this Workshop will save new acts from so many errors and dead-ends in their earlier days, and it's a great way to get to know other fresh(ish) faces on the scene.

More seasoned acts will be able to punch up their material in fast, big steps.

We believe it is important that you can apply what you learn at the Workshop, so each student will be offered some...
