What?
Leading Japanese premium lager Asahi Super Dry has announced three event dates over the summer when London beer drinkers can experience life in slow motion in the Asahi Slow-Mo Booth.

Constructed from over 1,500 intricate metal rings and featuring an ultra-slow motion camera, the three-metre high booth is in the shape of an Asahi pint glass and sits on a giant beer mat.

On entering the booth, participants are confronted by a range of built in special effects to make each video unique. These include:
100 ping-pong balls launched two metres into the air from a secret trap door, mirroring the bubbles found inside beer. This effect is designed to make guests feel like they are literally inside a pint of Asahi.
A jet of compressed air propelled into people’s faces, recreating the crisp and refreshing quality of Asahi Super Dry.

Video from the booth is then sent to guests via Whatsapp so they can post it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter using the #AsahiSlowMo hashtag.

Fun fact - At a volume of 4,000 litres, the booth could hold over 12,000 bottles of Asahi (330ml) or 7,000 pints of Asahi.

Where / When?
Saturday 3 September, 12:00-00:00 – Urban Food Fest, Shoreditch: Asahi has teamed up with Urban Food Fest for a Japanese takeover, which features exclusive Japanese street food and an Asahi bar. The booth will welcome festival-goers at the entrance of this free food festival, where visitors can sample Asahi Super Dry, Asahi cocktails and Asahi Super Dry Black.
