Slides and Scoops

Yelp, the online urban guide and app, are making the most of the summer sunshine and taking over Lumpy Hill Adventure Playground in Islington for an adults-only day of food, drinks, slides, swings and sweets.

If that's not enough to make you a kid at heart again, there will also be an ICE CREAM FESTIVAL with everything from old school ice cream trucks, alcoholic pops, liquid nitrogen ice cream, Thai rolled ice cream and even Pina Colada freakshakes.

You'll also be able to try out some unique ice cream flavours, available for one day only, as companies take part in a "Battle of the Scoops", seeing flavours such as Burnt Toast, Bacon, Avocado and Lemon Meringue make an appearance.

Once inside, there’ll be a number of free samples as well as the opportunity to buy all the delicious ice-cream and treats you can handle, with some of the proceeds from the event going to Islington Play, which supports safe play areas for children.
