Fashion salutes art

Favotell is pleased to introduce our summer event, inviting 8 fashion designers to collaborate with our artist Guang-Yu Zhang to create an artistic fashion piece under the theme that is created by the artist himself. We are excited to present these talented emerging and established designers with their outstanding creations to the UK marketplace from countries including China, Poland, Italy, Cyprus and South Korea.

We hope to express a crossover exhibition between the fashion designers and Guang-Yu Zhang. The modern and contemporary world is the source of inspiration for this exhibition and its created work. Additional inspirational sources are from vis-à-vis impressions, fiction in Chinese culture and cultural collisions.

What is an artwork in the traditional concept of art? How does the art quietly affect our life? How to combine designer creation with artistic concepts, rather than a purely pattern transformation? On the other hand, what is the originality of Chinese designers?

These questions are worth to explore further and we would like to discuss them during our Fashion Salute salutes Art summer event.
