The Gin Market Pop-Up

Capital bracer Portobello Road Gin has announced the launch of it’s positively quaffable summertime pop-up ‘The Gin Market’, located at Unit 3, The Market Building, Covent Garden(former Chanel Boutique) in the heart of Covent Garden.

Opening Thursday July 7th until Saturday July 30th, Covent Garden visitors will be able to ‘Shop Their Perfect G&T’ at the novel bar with Portobello Road Gin’s knowledgeable buffs on hand to advise and educate in the art of an impeccable G&T serve.

Gin fans will be invited to create their own personalised G&T serve, choosing from an extensive array of delightful summer garnishes from Portobello Road Gin’s traditional heritage market stalls, with everything from Portobello Road Gin’s signature pink grapefruit & juniper berries combination to watermelon, strawberries, basil and starfruit. Each gin serve will be topped off with a choice of fine Fever-Tree tonics from Mediterranean to Sicilian Lemonade, home-made tinctures and refreshing mixers.

Favoured by the most discerning of gin fans, drinks will be presented in Portobello Road Gin’s signature Spanish-style serve – the Copa de Balón (also known as a large wine glass here in Blighty).

The balloon-shaped goblet captures the botanical aromas of the gin and when complemented with beautiful and elaborate garnishes it allows the nose and the palette to discover an exceptional gin-drinking experience!

Gin boffins from ‘The Ginstitute’ - London’s hugely popular gin-making experience and museum will also be hosting exclusive and entertaining ‘History of the Gin& Tonic’ masterclasses every Thursday in The Gin Market’s secret basement.
