Glaucoma tells the story of three young girls with dreams of revolution. After being detained for publicly protesting against a world of corruption and destruction, they meet an array of strange characters from the systems they oppose and attempt to fight to hold on to their firm beliefs and humanity in their surreal, minimalist prison.

Glaucoma explores the idea that we are becoming passive and blind to pressing social and environmental issues that our world is facing today.

This intense exploration of humanity and youth challenges it’s audiences to act on their impulses to speak out about the injustices they see everyday, empowering them to help engineer change.

Formed in 2015, CapaTaro is a new, devising theatre company created by World Performance graduates from East 15 Acting School. After receiving an award from East 15 to create new innovative theatre, they started their journey as a dynamic, all-female company with a clear understanding of the company’s purpose: to incite change, to provoke thought, through creating theatre.
