Eminent Indian classical musician Arnab Chakrabarty plays the sarod, an instrument that can roughly be described as an Indian fretless guitar. In his hands, the sounds of the sarod can range from very vocal to very percussive, and many more things in between. Chakrabarty is steeped in the traditional aesthetics of raga music, but a true-blue technology geek when it comes to making his sarod work exactly as he wants it to. Come hear Arnab Chakrabarty interpret six new compositions of his own, in traditional ragas, and a seventh ''surprise item'' being premiered at this concert. Arnab will be accompanied on the sarod by his student Dr Harsh Amin, and on the tablas by great maestros Shahbaz Hussain and Sanju Sahai.
