The audience and experts from the worlds of nature and business, will vote for one to win £5,000 seed funding from Earthwatch Europe at the Royal Geographical Society in London, 15 September 7pm-9pm.

Nature TV presenter and explorer Paul Rose will host the event. ITV’s Prehistoric Park’s Presenter Nigel Marven, Countryfile’s Ellie Harrison, CEO of Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust's Estelle Bailey, Saïd Business School's Andrew White and founder of Consciam Phil Clarke will hear five finalists pitch their innovative ideas to reconnect people with nature.

Who will you choose to make their idea a reality?
• Tiny Doors: Inviting the people of Bristol to be 'poet laureates' for nature, generating new poems that will feature in public spaces and unexpected ones.
• Catch Me If You CAM: 'Come face to furry-face', bringing kids eye-to-eye with secretive local wildlife using trail cameras and educational toolkits.
• To My Roots: Inspiring five communities to take part in tree planting events, immortalising them in a bespoke music video with an independent musician.
• Talking Trees: Harnessing the power of digital technology to connect urban primary school children with their trees.
• Wild Games: 'Releasing nature with sports inspired by natural processes', teaming sports and ecosystem education together for sports days with a difference.

This event follows the release of a new State of Nature Report, which serves to highlight the ongoing decline of the UK’s species and habitats, and the urgent need to re-engage the public with nature.

The winner will receive a prize of £5,000 and the professional support of Earthwatch Europe – an organisation with 45 years’ experience of developing citizen science and new ideas on tackling the challenges facing our planet.

The event is free, but seats are limited so book today!
