Portrait of a Girl

Portrait of a Girl features photos and writing by five Ugandan school girls, providing a unique insight into their day to day lives and their hopes and dreams for the future.

Join us this International Day of the Girl as we reflect on the experiences of these inspiring young women, celebrate the progress that has been made towards realizing girls' rights and renew our commitments to a world where all girls can achieve their dreams.

The exhibition will open at 5.30pm with an alcoholic drink and nibbles included with each ticket.

At 7pm members of the Irise and Women in Leadership Teams will deliver short talks, sharing their reflections on the International Day of the Girl followed by poetry readings of work by the girls and by some of the most inspirational women of our time.

The event will conclude at 8.30pm.

All ticket proceeds will go to support Irise International's and Women in Leadership's work to empower women and girls in Uganda.

Attendees will have the opportunity to make additional donations during the evening and to share messages of solidarity with women and girls around the world.
