Oxjam Portobello

Come and help Oxjam fight against poverty with Oxjam Portobello’s Takeover Festival as we aim to raise £7000.
The Oxjam festival began in 2006 and is one of Oxfam’s biggest fundraising initiatives; over 1 million people having attended Oxjam events, generating over £2.5m. Hundreds of volunteers celebrate music in their local communities every year by organising their own gigs in support of Oxfam.

Festival Lineup
Saturday 15th
The Elgin – 2pm to 10pm – This intimate venue will play host to two stages with acoustic music throughout the day as well as two open mic sessions.

Mau Mau Bar – 3pm to 12pm – Our live venue and DJ stage will keep you entertained until Midnight, with sets from Felix Buxton of Basement Jaxx and Sam Hardacker of Zero 7 ready to get the party going.

Westbank Gallery – 3pm to 8pm – Get your dancing shoes on!!! As we turn the Westbank into a swing dance venue but if you feel like you need brushing on with your dance moves, don’t worry Swing Dance UK will be on hand to help you shake your tailfeather!

Sunday 16th
Acklam Village – 1pm to 5pm – We are looking for little Superheroes to help us start an Oxjam family disco filled with pop tunes, arts and crafts!
