Jazz at Mycenae

Mycenae House - a former convent – is transformed for the evening into a fabulous jazz club with great acoustics, a stunning grand piano (and a cheap bar) so that it can be a worthy setting for the outstanding live music that will be performed by the Phil Mead Trio. Pianist Phil has played in many top London hotels including The Dorchester and The Savoy. His career encompasses not just jazz but also other genres of music and he has performed with stars such as Elton John and Diana Dors as well as jazz luminaries like Art Themen and Don Rendell. His special guest tonight is trumpeter, Simon Da Silva, who has also played with many of the country’s leading jazz names including Digby Fairweather, Jean Toussaint, Kenny Wheeler, Jason Rebello, Pete King and John Dankworth.
