The third and final Elegant Decadence of 2016 sees the return of two of the best bands to play the original incarnation, Pretentious, Moi? and Anniversary Circle. Sandwiched between them are the legendary Faces of Sarah.

Pretentious, Moi? is a UK based goth band. Created as a solo project by Tim Chandler in 1994, the live band now includes some of the best known musicians in the contemporary UK gothic scene.
The development of the solo project into a fully fledged band is only a recent one, in 2009 Tim was asked if he’d put a band together for Judgement Day which led to several other gigs outside the UK, with Whitby being their first gig in their home country. Getting the band together – particularly since they brought a great deal of combined experience, then acted as a catalyst for getting the album done.
Mick Mercer described the band as "A Goth Academy of Excellence" and the album as "of huge merit and deeply enjoyable".

The Faces of Sarah are a dark alternative rock band from London. They formed in 1999 and released their debut album 24 and Misery Turns E.P on Spiky Black Cat Records which received top reviews and club play as far a field as Chile, Japan, USA, Australia & Germany.
This in turn led to touring with such bands as The Mission, NFD, Theatres des Vampires and Killing Miranda, playing shows such as famous Whitby Weekender.
2005 saw the band return with a brand new line up and their self financed Impurity E.P/DVD E.P produced by Andy Reilly (Paradise Lost, Bruce Dickinson, Cradle of Filth, Moonspell, Quireboys, Pigface, Asia) which impressed Malicious Damage Records (The Orb,Killing Joke). They included a track from the Impurity E.P. on the compilation The Clock Machine Turns You On, and signed the band for a new album.

The album Lament was released on Oct 30th 2006 on Malicious damage Records and is distributed worldwide through Cargo Records. It features Paul Miles ex Nefilim on guitars who also produced it.

After a very short break festival shows in Hungary and Slovakia galvanized the band into the early stages of writing a new album. Early signs point to the most adventurous album yet from TFoS. A release date has not been penciled in yet but somewhere around April time should be realistic.

You’re born, you live and you die in your beds. On each occasion there is cause for celebration or mourning. Always acted upon without question… When we die do we ask? Do we go to heaven, do we go to hell, or are we part of the atheist, agnostic, organic, Darwinian plan and go to earth. Turn to dust. Do we have a choice? Or are we in a perpetual cycle for all eternity. Anniversary Circle. An Existing living hell.
