MIX: Winter Group Show

Celebrating diversity, the Winter MIX group show at London’s Lawrence Alkin Gallery will feature international and homegrown artists, working in a broad range of medium.

More than 20 artists will each show a single piece created in their own signature style. The result will be a truly eclectic exhibition, showcasing the breadth of talent in contemporary art today.

Making their gallery debut during the show are artists Sujeong Paik, Flavia Pitis, Samuel Bassett and ceramicist Hinrich Kroger. Their works will stand alongside works by well known artists such as Damien Hirst, Peter Blake, Ben Eine, Blek Le Rat and Banksy, as well as emerging artists on the gallery roster including Nick Smith, Zoe Grace, Keaton Henson, Lucy Sparrow, Tom French and Teresa Duck.

From ceramics to canvas, felt to 3D neon, abstract to figurative, the show promises something for everyone.

Gallery Director and show curator, Sam Rhodes cherry picked each piece and explains while there is no set theme for the show, there is common ground uniting each artist and their work. He said:

“I’m constantly on the look out for artists whose work is unique, meticulously executed and has an interesting concept. For me, that’s the magic formula and it’s rare to find. The Winter MIX show is an opportunity to showcase artists who we think have that special something. Each piece has it’s own story just waiting to be told.”

Other artists featured include Pat N Don, Jackie Berridge, Erin Smith, Jessica Albarn, Stik, Dave White, Carrie Reichardt and Bob Osborne, Michelle Mildenhall and Chinese artist Alex Guofeng Cao, who has created a large and striking portrait of Andy Warhol made up of tiny portraits of Chairman Mao.
