Sunday Lunchtime Special: Emily Saunders

London based vocalist, songwriter, composer, and producer Emily Saunders hails from a musical family, so it’s no surprise that she has forged her own successful career in the world of jazz. As a regular live performer, the Emily Saunders Band can be heard in her self-produced, critically acclaimed albums, ‘Cotton Skies” (2011) and ‘Outsiders Insiders’ (2015). With work at the likes of the St James Theatre, Kings Place, Pizza Express Dean St as well as The EFG London Jazz Festival in 2014 and 2015 she has gone a long way to establishing herself as a talent to be reckoned with. And if that wasn't enough she regularly presents her shows ‘The Latin Mix’ and ‘The Voice Mix’ for Jazz London Radio and Curved Radio (Australia). Her own music has enjoyed success nationally on BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Jazz FM & XFM, along with radio stations around the world including USA, Japan, Australia, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Abu Dhabi and México. Her music has achieved international iTunes and Amazon chart rankings worldwide, including “Top 10” in USA, Germany, UK, Indonesia and France. Today she will be appearing with her quartet in what promises to be a terrific Sunday afternoon gig.
