ollowing their sell-out successes The Merchant of Venice and their all-male A Clockwork Orange, cutting-edge theatre troupe Action To The Word return to CPT this Autumn for the first part of their new trilogy - The Oresteia.

One of the oldest plays ever written, this series of Greek tragedies tells the tale of the most cursed, punished and controversial family of all time - The House of Atreus and their desperate struggle with the gods to emerge into serenity and freedom. A symposium of gore, war, sex and greed, here the Agamemnon is dragged into 1945 London.

A wife sits waiting for her commander husband to return from the war. She welcomes him with open arms and pours him a nice bath.
