The International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF), in partnership with the French-speaking embassies of London, will be adding a little ‘je ne sais quoi’ to Trafalgar Square with the launch of “Le Français J’Adore!” on March 17th.
The event, hosted by Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of La Francophonie and Michaelle Jean, UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti and former Governor General of Canada, will raise awareness of the French language plus the rich diversity of the French-speaking community in the UK.
The line-up musical includes an eclectic range of folk, pop and jazz singers. Performing will be; Féloche (France), Claudine Muno & The Luna Boots (Luxembourg), Jali (Belgium), Noga (Switzerland), Alfa Rococo (Canada), Emel Mathlouthi (Tunisia), Naby (Senegal), Rayess Bek (Lebanon) and Melissa Laveaux (Haiti), to name just a few.
Street entertainers will be performing at the event and each of the represented countries will have a dedicated exhibition stand to promote their culture with visitors.
