THOUSAND KINGS: Thousand Kings is far from the archetypal jazz "drums/sax/bass trio" - although they have strong melodies, supported by rumbling bass-lines and a strong kick and snare with enough clout to keep almost everything aligned; much of the music is improvised and features electronics with each player taking chances to man the helm. With Kwake (Jehst and DELS) the drummer being heavily influenced by hip-hop; Shabaka Hutchings (Polar Bear; The Heliocentrics and Sons Of Kemet) a multi-reedist and a colossal free-improvising musician plus Karl Rasheed-Abel (Soweto Kinch; Courtney Pine; Jerry Dammers and Kaidi Tatham) laying strong foundational bass-lines and forcibly tearing them apart! Thousand Kings create a galvanizing hybrid of folk; hip-hop; avant-garde jazz and rock that leaves the listener completely and utterly enthused!

KAZ SIMMONS: Singer-songwriter, Kaz Simmons produces hard-hitting pop songs such as "Dandelions" and "Whatever" to sombre heart aching love ballads like "Almost." Tracks from her highly acclaimed album "Dandelions" (which was one of Bruce Lindsay's 'Best Releases of 2011') were given ample airplay by Wah Wah 45s Dom Servini and Radio 2's Jamie Cullum.

SYDNEY J SPENCER: Charismatic West London-based FastLane Roogalator vocalist, tonight delivering a solo set of experimental folk - he will perform interpretations of material from his late father, John B Spencer's incredible repertoire.
