Supported by Stephen Fry, the world’s greatest love story heads to Nevada for this exhilarating new production from PurpleCoat Productions. Forget everything you know about Romeo and Juliet and prepare to re-experience Shakespeare's magic in this innovative, thrilling journey to Las Vegas, America’s marriage, divorce and suicide capital. Get your dancing shoes on and get ready to fall in love all over again.
PurpleCoat Productions are also supported by Sir Ian McKellen and Richard Wilson. Our sell-out run of 'Titus Andronicus' in Liverpool in 2011 gained rave reviews in the Liverpool Echo, and included a filmed cameo by the actor Con O'Neill.
PurpleCoat are also working with the RSC on a revival of their production of 'Midsummer', at their outdoor venue in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Their feature film, 'The Impossible Place', was invited down to the 2010 Raindance Film Festival, and they are also currently collaborating on the build of a new theatre in London, built on the site of Shakespeare's first theatre. Their work this summer is partially funded by Stephen Fry after a generous donation to the company.
