Regents Canal will be hosting a festival from 13th – 15th July to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the canal. The festival will stretch from Paddington to Lime House and will showcase a whole host of local talent. Over 100 artists will be exhibiting, including sculpture, music and dance.

ON AND OFF THE WATER

Regent's Canal Festival aims to creatively transform forgotten parts of the canal, turning them into art venues and creative spaces, such as a pop-up cinema in Millennium Park which will showcase experimental works form some of London’s best film students.

On the water itself, visitors can take a boat trip inside the Islington Tunnel, ‘time travelling’ through the history of the canal, using a variety of visual and sound effects – an innovation that hasn’t been seen before. A narrow boat will be transformed into a gallery, giving people with disabilities the chance to showcase their work for the first time. Musicians will also be sailing along the waters in a Venetian gondola to entertain the crowds. A team of animators and artists will enjoy pedestrians and guarantee quality time for the whole family. Stretched over 9 miles The Regent’s Canal will transform to a place of joy and celebration.
