Dido & Aeneas

One of London’s newest performing companies, Ad Parnassum made their debut with Dido & Aeneas in Venice and London in Spring 2011 and are returning to London with that very original show before embarking on a further European tour. Purcell’s masterpiece, unique for its time, epitomises the English taste for mixing spoken verse with music and dancing; and with the addition of colourful costumes and even puppetry, not to mention fine support from one of Venice’s most accomplished ensembles, this take on a classic work is likely to make quite an impression.
