About the event : The SingletonTM of Dufftown, proudly opens the doors to The SingletonTM Taste Room on 27th September. Mark Hix, Gilles Peterson, Dominic Wilcox, Max Lamb and Daniel Poole and other tastemakers have curated an exhibition of all the things they believe are essential to creating the perfect malt whisky-tasting environment. Looking at everything from chairs to tunes, these leaders in their respective crafts have worked to find the single best selections that compliment The SingletonTM of Dufftown, seen by many as ‘the single best tasting single malt whisky’. Visitors can then decide if they agree that the Singleton Taste Room is the best space in which to taste malt whisky and debate what they believe constitutes as good taste.
Not all elements of the exhibition are being revealed ahead of the launch in the iconic, Georgian glass ceilinged room at 33 Portland Place. Mark Hix has been tasked with creating the perfect dish to serve withThe SingletonTM whisky. It promises to evoke the flavours of Scotland where he goes fishing
every summer.
Gilles Peterson has created the perfect playlist, Dominic Wilcox chosen the single best glass to drink malt whisky from, Max Lamb the ultimate seating and Daniel Poole is charged with harmonising every element in the room.
In addition to the five lead curators, other tastemakers in the worlds of art, design, interiors, food, music and publishing will be offering up their ideal objects, sounds, images and flavours to go into The SingletonTMTaste Room.
The SingletonTM Taste Room will stimulate each of the senses for visitors to the exhibition. Those who offer up their opinion on what they think good taste is will be in with a chance to win certain elements of the room. User Reviews
