From the 21st September to the 30th September, the shop fronts of Notting Hill will be transformed by 12 talented contemporary artists from all over the world as they come together to act as a collective voice and create awareness for International Peace Day 2012. For one week only, the artists will create and display their own peace-themed artworks live in the area's shop windows, turning Notting Hill into a huge interactive gallery space. The event aims to capture the power of public art in the community and introduce the potential influence that enterprises can have for this day of peace.
The 12 participating artists are Toni Gallagher, Anne Vinogradoff, Nicola Taylor, Junko O’Neill, Damilola Odusote, Nilwe, Phaedra Peer, Elizabeth James, Natalie Percy, Caroline Kha, Emily Kirby and Qing Qi.
